Toh Baat Pakki

http://indiageez.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/toh-baat-pakki.jpg

Comic family movie. This movie hangs on Tabbu, else nothing is there which is so funny about. Still it more feels like comedy is made to be fit it and somehow looses its flow. Story line is not that different and end is even messed-up. Ok movie, some may like it some may not. Timepass movie in an Indian words.

My Name Is Khan

http://www.glamsham.com/movies/scoops/10/jan/my-name-is-khan-shahrukh-kajol.jpg

Let me guess, we all might be waiting for its release after a controversial 2 weeks and upstanding of SRK by withholding his statement and not bowing down to politics. It seems people admire that more before even the film released. And the matter of fact is movies is based on the same theme. I somehow got the tickets (I always get it....ok) and watched it in last show.

Let me be very frank, it is not astonishing or mind blowing. It is a simple movie about one Muslim and struggle of him and his family to fight back and regain their respect post 9 /11. And the message is delivered very loud and clear. This time SRK and Kajol didn't have much time to give it to love but what ever time they got, they did remind that they are still the best and most happening couple on-screen. Some of the scenes in the movie represents his real life day to day activities...I leave it for your guess. Surely a one time watcher. I give rating for SRK and Kajol's acting and movie theme.

Sherlock Holmes (2009)

I was waiting for the release since I heard about it last year. It took some time to release it in India, but it was worth to wait for it and not to see on small screen. So far it is one of the best movie I have seen in  2010 in regard to the script and delivery. Now in the days of Harrypotter (Indian Hari Putter), this is what today's parents should actually make their child read (Read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherlock_Holmes). Caz there is no magic, its science....pure science. And you do have to use your brain to get around this one. Good movie.

This reminds me of "Sarkar" and I think it will make you think of the same. Plot is different but Cinematography and theme is based of what we have seen and appreciated so far from one of the best movies Ramu has given to this country. But I must say this is one good movie. Media has been red labeled and cornered for the way they are representing current political and social scenario.

This film will bring some info to public on how the news has been created and represented. It shows the corporate point of view on the current broadcast industry. I rate this for its story line and touch and a message for citizen of this country.

Rated A, this is one hell of a movie showing the complexity of relations and human behavior which some times turn out to be surprising (May be most of the times). I never knew there can be an innovation in the bad words or for to sack some one. Vidya balan has given ground breaking performance and has shown her capabilities as and off-bit actress. Arshad Warsi wins heart of the audience by his exceptional expressions and dialogs. Must watch to add rough patch on this all easy going fairy tales. Ratings for best screen play and plot.

Paranormal Activity (2009)

 http://cmsof.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/paranormal-activity-movie-poster12.jpg IMDB

I have no idea, whether this movie had launched in Ahmadabad or not but I think the city might have missed it. This is a $11K movie and has proved that you can scare people with that budget. No gore, no blood vomiting faces and not slicing of humans, and still it gets your nerve. You sit and not getup until you realize its over.

I got good reviews about it and yes, the reviews are right. It might be a low budget movie but it has made its way in one of the interesting horrors I have seen without any gore or expensive FX. I give it raiting for its grip and originality.
